~Behind the Mask~
Registration is now closed.

We have recently finished our 2007 Beaded doll challenge titled “Beyond Make Believe.” We held a bead challenge to inspire a creative turn in beaded dolls. The theme and title gave the participants free range on how to create the doll itself, and then their challenge was to embellish it with beads!

That brings us to… Bead Challenge 2008 “Behind the Mask.” Our newest beading challenge is scheduled to begin October 31, 2007! Beaded Masks… sounded perfect with autumn around the corner, and the challenge would end just after Mardi Gras in mid-April. Each person wishing to participate will receive a blank paper mache mask in their packet along with helpful ideas/inspirations. This is another challenge that is limitless in imagination, color choices, and techniques. (I can feel those ideas flowing already!!) Should I use feathers? Glitter? Paint? A theme? Should it be scary or a fantasy piece? Or both!! And beads of course!! Everyone receives the same blank mask, so push beyond your limits and see just how much fun it is! If you don’t have much bead experience, don’t be shy!!! Take Bead Inspiration from this mask by Wendy SeawardTake a step… join us and see how much fun it is, and you’ll also make new beady friends! You’ll be surprised at how much you learn too!

If you wish to participate in the “Behind the Mask” challenge, please e-mail me. Deadline for registration is October 31st. I’m open to any questions you may have. There is no fee, all that’s needed is mustering up your courage and jumping right in!! Don’t be bashful, we’ll have a blast!!

I saw a quote online by an anonymous writer: “Behind the mask is a personal truth. What we really, really, believe about who we are and what we’re capable of achieving.”

I hope you join us! Bead on!!
