Be Still My Heart Earrings

Valentines Day is just around the corner! 
Here is a special gift to give that sweet someone who has made a difference in your life.  These super cute dangle earrings are a perfect match to the Be Still My Heart Bracelet and are also lovely on their own.  The mini pewter hearts are charm ready making for easy construction and are still light-weight matched up with our vintage 'moonglow 'style lucite.  The Swarovski special finish crystal adds just a hint of sparkle for a fun festive pair of earrings you can dress up or down!


















 
The Ingredients...

These earrings include from top to bottom...2x fucshia moonglow style lucite rounds, 2x Swarovski special finish bicones, 2x pewter heart charms.  Crystal colors listed in materials box are just the tip of the iceburg!  Check out our other bicone options by clicking the links above or using our search engine with csc-5301-4- and our other lucite options in our vintage lucite section.

Step 1: 
Each earring will need 2 eyepins to be formed out of the 22 gauge wire.  Cut 2 seperate 3" pieces of 22 guage wire and straighten.  With the round nose plier form a large loop on both 3" pieces (use the inside thick part of the tool) and then center the loop on the wire pin.  This large loop needs to be large enough to accomodate for the pewter heart charm to be able to swing freely from inside.

Step 2:
The thin line pliers (flat on the inside) work great to open the loop on the homemade eyepins.  Swing the loop open to the side (never pry open) insert the charm loop and swing the wire loop back into place.  Be sure to close up any gaps or open seams so that the heart
charm is securely trapped inside the eyepin loop.  Do this for both the earrings.

Step 3:

Start by stacking 1 Swarovski bicone and 1 vintage moonglow lucite onto each of the two earrings.  Form a generous loop to finish both eyepins and be sure to roll each loop snug towards the beads before snipping remaining wire away.   Using the flat line pliers swing the loop open and add in the earwire.  Again be sure that there are no gaps or open seams on the open loop or on the earwires so that the connection is secure.
