Swarovski Garden Grove Bracelet
Designed by Kristin Burgess
Our Swarovski crystals come in a plethora of shapes and sizes. The margarita floral shape has arrived in a variety of sparkley colors that look stunning backed with our mother-of-pearl shell. Using summer crystal colors of violet and indigo and then backing the garden bracelet with lime green creates a fun original piece for summer! Be sure to browse our crystal section to "pick" the flowers that suit you the best!
This project is great for all levels! Stringing, crimping and wireworking are involved with this project. The bracelet has a total length of 7". Two crimp beads are needed to attach the beaded strand to the sterling silver toggle clasp.

By adding beads evenly you can increase the length of the bracelet without altering the look. I find it helpful to strand the bracelet directly onto the softflex spool as it is easier to keep the pattern even (you can deduct beads from either side should the piece end up longer than intended). First we will create the wired flower components then secondly move onto the stringing portion of the project.
Step 1: Prepare a clutter free workspace to lay out piles of your beads and components on. We will start with the wire working portion of the bracelet. Stack 1 light amethyst bicone onto one headpin then thread on one Swarovski flower. Create a coiled loop and trim away excess wire. Make a total of 5 of these in the same pattern and set aside. Now take one headpin and thread one caribbean blue bicone onto the headpin then thread on one Swarovski flower (the other color). Create a coiled eyepin with this and make 3 more of these for a total of four. We will alternate stranding these two designs in the stringing portion of creating this bracelet. Be sure to cut away any excess wire form the headpins and use the flat pliers to push in and tuck way any wire burrs that may stick out enough to irritate your skin.
Step 2:
Set aside the tools used to make 9 wired flower components. Witht he shell and the pre-wired components, string this design directly onto the Softflex spool...1 shell, 1 flower, 1 shell, 1 flower, 1 shell...and so on until you have threaded on all the flower components. Double check the bracelet length by placing the piece around your wrist. If the bracelet is too short you can always add a small bead or small beads evenly to either end of the bracelet to get that extra length. It is important to always include the length of the clasp in this equation. The toggle will add only a small amountof length.
When the final bracelet length has been strung it is time to crimp this beaded strand to the toggle clasp. Use the sterling 2x2 crimps and the standard crimper tool attached both ends of the braclet to the clasp. You can attach sterling crimp covers after the crimps are attached and the excess wire has been cut away using the flush cutters. Using the crimp covers will create a polished look.

As always enjoy!!
