Cuffs create a great base to build from. They make awesome structural jewelery and are extremely popular right now. I used the dimples in this vintage cuff as cups to place mixed metal flowers. Layering gold and silver gives this piece a lot of dimension.
Step 1: Using nylon jaw pliers flatten the flowers except the pansy flower and gently bend the cuff slightly flatter so the fly wheels of the rivet tool can turn without hitting the cuff.
Step 2:Place the pansy flower in the largest center dimple of the cuff. With a permanent marker mark the center flower hole on the cuff where you would like to pierce the hole. Using the piercing side of the riveting tool, pierce a hole.
Step 3: Stack one sterling clover flower, one gold textured cup flower the pansy flower onto a rivet. Feed the rivet through the hole in the cuff, from front to back. Use the riveting side of the tool to flare the rivet.
Step 4: Place the other two textured gold cup flowers in the dimples of the cuff next to the large center one. Mark the holes and pierce the cuff. Stack one sterling clover flower and one textured gold flower on a rivet and attach to the cuff, repeat for the other set of flowers, on the other side.
Step 5: Place the gold clover flower in the next biggest dimple. Mark the center and pierce a hole. Rivet the flower in place.
Step 6: Once all the flowers are attach you can bend the petals back up to form a more three dimensional flowers.
