Drenched in jewels women were transitioning from the innocence of the 50's into the empowering freedom of the 70's. The 1960's had a delicate balance of these two extremes, creating classy sexy women and fashion. This necklace brings to life the fabulous costume jewelry brooches of the 60's. Step1: Make the center flower. Bend one of the carnation flowers. Using chain nose pliers and your hands bend every other petal up into a cup. Bend the other petals slightly up. Attach the flower using a head pin. Feed the head pin through one peridot 3700, the bent carnation, the flat carnation, then feed the head pin through the center of the filigree piece. Slide on the flower stem, one rose bud, a brass heishi and turn a loop.

Step 2: Begin attaching the ring of outer flowers. Feed one vitrail medium 3700 onto a head pin. Feed the head pin down through the hole in the filigree piece like shown in the picture. Feed on a brass heishi and turn a loop. Attach the rest of the vitrail medium 3700, skipping a section in between each one. Once they are attached go back to the empty sections. Feed one peridot 3700 and one rose bud onto a head pin and feed it down through the hole in the filigree, feed on a brass heishi and turn a loop. Attach the remaining 3700's and rose buds.

Step 3: Attach two jump rings to two of the top outer loops on the filigree piece. Feed the chain through the jump rings.
Step 4: Attach the lobster claw clasp to one end of the chain using a jump ring. Attach a jump ring to the other end of the chain.
The End!
