Beaded Earring How-To: Citrus Splash Print
citrus_splash_fullCitrus Splash Earrings

Designed by Ashley Bunting

I love citrus colors.  They are just so happy and fresh.  These earrings use a selection of juicy orange, yellow, and green beads in lucite and glass.  Pairing these vibrant colors with dark gunmetal makes them appear all the brighter.  These components could also easily translate into a refreshing charm bracelet.

Step 1: Make six bead dangles out of each of the bead styles. Do this by feeding one bead on to a head pin and turning a loop.

Step 2: Attach the bead dangles to the chain in this order: Attach one lucite clementine to the last link, to the next link attach one lucite yellow quartz, to the next link attach one peridot glass and one apple green lucite, to the next link attach one tomato red glass, repeat this pattern two more times.

Step 3: Cut the chain so there is one empty link above the last tomato red glass bead.  Feed one tangerine filigree on to an ear wire and then feed the last link of chain on to the ear wire.

Step 4: Feed one apple green lucite round on to a head pin.  Feed the head pin through the chain link that lines up with the center of the tangerine filigree, and feed the head pin through the center of the filigree.  In the back trim the head pin to 1/4" , using round nose pliers twist a loop down until the chain and filigree are tight together.  Repeat for the second earring.

The End!
