Steampunk Earrings

Steam punk is a very hot and recent trend thatâs turning up everywhere in jewelry these days? Itâs Steampunk and it blends the English Victorian aesthetic with a mid of modern science fiction for a gritty yet elegant mixture of fashion. Rooted in the romance of invention, the style harkens the imagry created by writers such as H.G. Wells & Mary Shelley. Metals are a big part of the Steampunk look.
These Steampunk trend earrings are handcrafted out of vintage filigree, pendants and contemporary gear beads. To make these gorgeous earrings silmply layer, the filigree and pendant, on a jumpring. Take a head pin and stack on the two gear beads, wrap around the filigree, and snip off the tail of the head pin. Do this twice for each earring, then attatch the earring to the earwire, and you have fantastic steampunk earrings. Feel free to mix and match other metals to creat your very own design. |
