Beading Basics:
Lesson 2 - How to Make Earrings

This lesson teaches how to make a pair of beaded earrings.





Step 1: Gather together all the necessary parts and tools:

The Bead Smith Super-fine Round Nose with Spring The Bead Smith Side Cutter   Sterling Silver Hammered EarWire w/Coil Sterling Silver 24gauge headpins Sterling Silver 22gauge Eye Pin Dyed Mother of Pearl 30mm Drilled Square Donuts Lime Swarovski Crystal 4mm Beads-Lime

Step 2:

-Thread eye pin through hole in bead, so the eye of the pin will be in the center of the bead.

Step 3:

-Bend wire to a 90 degree angle at the top of the bead
-Cut off wire leaving about 1/4" at the top







Step 4:

-Using the round nose pliers curve the end of the wire back around 







Leave an small opening for the ear wire to be attached

Step 5:

-Slip the ear wire onto the eye pin and close the loop with the round nose pliers






Now to make the swarovksi dangle in the middle...



Step 6:

-Thread the 4mm swarovski bead on the head pin








Step 7:

-Repeat steps 3 and 4 to make the loop







Step 6:

-Put the partially opened loop through the loop in the center of the green square bead. Then close it with the round nose pliers

You now have 1 earring complete

Step 8:

-Just repeat steps 1-6 to make the second earring and complete the set!
