Glass StarfishRare Vintage Pressed Glass Starfish Pendants:

These were a true treasure find. Rare vintage pressed glass 'carved' starfish. The term carved refers to the relief of texture of these fine beads.  Of course, they're not actually carved. Hot glass was pressed into metal molds. These particular pieces are likely from Czechoslovakia ca. 1940's.  But something about their opaque color way makes me think of some vintage Japanese glass we've had through the years as well.  No matter where they hail from, they're absolutely exquisite and a true collectible.

Sea Glass BeadsSea Glass Beads:

We've just freshened up our offerings in the Sea Glass Bead department.  Made in the Far East, these beads are made to replicate the types of sea glass that wash ashore on the East Coast of the US.  Frosty finishes & fab light bottle colors make these pieces the perfect compliment to the real thing.  Some brighter Summer hues have been added to the color palette as well: Sunshine Yellow, Khaki Green & more.  Our manufacturer is never able to keep up with our demand, no matter how we try.  So these beads are in & out of stock often.  So stock up while you can.

Glass Snail Shell BeadsVintage German Glass Snail Shells:

Another rare find, these glass pressed snail shell beads were made in Western Germany ca. 1960's.  They are the perfect sculptural element for textured charm bracelets, drop earrings, cluster pendant necklaces or whatever inspires you.  The soft opaque colors are a secondary glass layered over a opaque white bead making a marbling effect that is in keeping with their retro appeal.  Another limited item.

Lucite from the BeachLucite from the Beach:

Beach themed Lucite goes fast but we have some nice picks.  Some is old, some is new.  Some was made in Germany, some produced in the US.  My favorite is the German whelk shells in the stark opaque white.  You can dye these yourself using RIT dye on a hot stove top.  To see Ashley's article on how to dye Lucite beads, Click Here. They'll generally come out with a marbled effect as the stark white Lucite is harder to get a true through & through color on than the matte crystal.
