Antique GunMetal Mini Hank Seed Beads:
These treasures were a find â and even moreso because we found a lot of them (well, theyâre still very limited for what we usually offer online, so theyâll go fast). Darling mini hanks of hex cut gun metal, faceted seed beads, made in Czechoslovakia ca. 1910âs. If youâre a seed bead weaver, designer or collector, a hank of these babies is a must-have.
Wintery Whites:
Iâve already blogged about how back in the early days of vintage bead digging (which for me was the early 1990âs), I used to be presented with offers to purchase truck loads of opaque white vintage glass beads for a $1. a pound! At the time, the fashion forecasts were ix-nay on the ite-whay. Now, opaque white is just another color in our basic bead palette & is stunning when made into a tailored multi-strand alaâ Breakfast at Tiffanyâs. These selections are all vintage West German ca. 1940âs & 50âs.
Vintage Glass Hoops:
We have acquired a slowly growing collection of these great mod-styled vintage glass hoops & rings. Some are frosted matte, others are faceted or scallop-edged. They make great earrings in a snap. Or layer them with some beadweaving, free-form style in a bracelet. Most of these are ca. 1960âs-80âs and are from Czech, Japan and Germany.
Rare Find: Vintage Ice Cube Cab:
This was a rare find and they are very limited, so order fast. Leaded crystal or glass pressed cabochon, loaded with weight and rich texture.ã Made ca. 1940sâ in West Germany, the manufacturerâs box described them as âgeodeâ shaped. We like the description of an ice cube because it details the geometric texture and smooth, crystal feel of these great old pieces.
