Vintage Japanese Cotton PearlsThese are this season's Holiday bead. Use them in ornaments, snowflakes, or bold Christmas jewelry for a real retro collectible feel. Cotton pearls were manufactured more heavily than they are currently, in Japan in the 1940's - 1970's. They were formed with a compressed ball of cotton and then coated with a pearlized lacquer for a hard and durable finish. They are extremely light-weight in spite of their generally larger & bolder shape and size. We have come across a nice stash of these beads in bold holiday colors.

Antique Nailheads Not just for garments anymore, there are countless ways you can design jewelry and other beaded lovelies using antique glass nailhead beads. Originally manufactured for adorning clothing, quite often mourning dresses in the Victorian and Edwardian periods, these beads had been sitting in European and NYC garment districts for years until bead designers recently unearthed them for use in jewelry and adorning updated clothing and fiber projects.

Rare Swarovski Givré Strands We have been sitting on a cache of these rare & very old lovelies. They are pre-strung, vintage Swarovski, double-strand beads in White givré. Givré is a term used to describe a bead that has an interior color, usually under encased clear in glass or crystal. These are very collectible in that they are labeled with "Wattens/Tirol - D.S. Swarovski." Although there used to be a fair amount of these in the vintage bead market, they are fast becoming scarce & we had never before seen 2-stranders before we came across this stash. They are rare & limited. Also a rare find: some
vintage White Givré foil stones, similar to Rivolis in that they'd be great with a bead-woven bezel or wire-work around them.

paint them yourself so you have your own custom colors. This collection features mostly components and beads made in the US ca. 1960?s, 70?s and 80?s. Layer, stack and wire-sculpt them together in a 3-dimensional style to create textural floral pieces for your pendants, pins or corsage jewelry.
