Vintage Matte Metal Components

For years we’ve scoured the globe & uncovered loads of vintage metal components in various finishes and platings. It has always been a perpetual treasure hunt in that we never know what we’re going to find: raw brass, aged bronze, antique silver oxidized. It’s always been a fun challenge to use these metals together for an eclectic and vintage mixed look. However, we recently decided it was time to bring these finds together in a more cohesive line of matching metals so that designers could more easily pull all these vintage parts together.

A Subtle Matte Finish

Plating them in sterling silver & 24k gold seemed to be the natural decision, and we’ve added a subtle matte finish. The gold is reminiscent of the old Russian Gold plating that was commonly seen on components and filigrees used in the works of Miriam Haskell’s designs. We’re working on more parts & pieces that you’ll see added as we go, including: vintage chain, vintage findings and other vintage parts. Watch for the matte metals to be featured in Beadworks ‘BEADS 2009’ which means they will get loads of attention.

Very Limited in Quantity

The pieces we’re featuring online now are just our sample orders and are VERY limited in quantity. So be sure to grab them now if you see a motif you must have because the chances are such that we will be selling out of these styles and replacing them with other vintage plated finds that we have in larger quantities.
